Sidewalk repair in Seattle isn't one price—it's a range that depends on what's wrong with the slab, how badly, and how accessible the job site is. Here are the actual 2026 numbers we use to bid jobs across Seattle and King County, broken down by repair type.
Grinding is the cheapest fix because no concrete gets demolished. A grinder bevels the lifted edge of a slab so the trip hazard disappears—usually a 30-60 minute job per slab with HEPA dust capture. We charge $149 for the first slab, $115 for each additional slab on the same visit. If you're a homeowner with one bad seam in front of your house, this is almost always the right call.
See our Residential Sidewalk Repair page for more on grinding.
When grinding won't solve it—cracks running through the slab body, rocking panels, or root upheaval too severe to bevel—we tear out and re-pour. Pricing in 2026 lands in the $14-22 per square foot range. The low end is straightforward residential work with truck access. The high end is restricted access (no truck pour, wheelbarrow concrete), heavy-duty 6-inch commercial slabs, or work that requires sub-base rebuilding.
Most 4-inch residential walks: $14-16 per sq ft. Commercial 6-inch with rebar: $18-22. ADA truncated dome panels add ~$385 each.
If the slab is structurally sound but has settled (typically near a downspout or where the sub-base washed out), foam-injection lifting is half the cost of replacement. We drill quarter-sized holes, pump expanding polyurethane underneath, and the slab lifts back to grade. You can walk on it in 30 minutes.
We do polyjacking on patios, driveway panels, garage floors, and walkways. It's a fast same-day fix when applicable.
Driveway aprons are the strip between street and driveway and live in the public right-of-way. That makes them subject to City of Seattle permits and inspection. We pull the permit, tear out the old apron, pour a 6-inch reinforced replacement, and schedule the inspection. Most residential aprons land in the $1,485-2,400 range depending on size and access.
See Apron & Approach Repair for the full breakdown.
Site access matters most. A truck pour is hugely cheaper than wheelbarrowing concrete by hand. Mature trees that require root cutting or barrier installation add cost. Permits add cost when work is in the right-of-way. Heavy reinforcement (rebar vs. wire mesh) adds modest cost but extends slab life significantly. Decorative finishes—stamped, stained, exposed aggregate—run 30-60% more than standard broom finish.
